The creation of JohnsonDiversey in 2002 out of DiverseyLever (former daughter company of Unilever) and Johnson Wax Professional presented new challenges. A key challenge, however, was how to exploit the synergy generated from the alignment of different businesses, which could take the Company to the next level. The company quickly recognized that the cornerstone of our sustainable growth is in customer service. Therefore, JohnsonDiversey focused on customer development, and proclaimed its vision: “We will never let our customers down in product delivery, and work together to meet our customer needs.” To take the company to the next level, a cross-functional synergy identification and optimization process was deployed, which focused, among other things, on our working capital.
