Engaging the demand organization in the S&OP process has historically been one of the practitioner’s major challenges. Integrating multiple global demand organizations into one process adds even more complexity to this task. In this piece, Mr. Cogan shares his first-hand experience and shows some of his personal failures and successes from two separate but related S&OP deployments. Further, he highlights what failed in his first attempt, and what worked the second time around. He hopes this will serve as a valuable case study on how to engage multiple demand organizations in a global company, and move the S&OP process toward a higher level of maturity.
